God created the heavens and the earth

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

 

Some people distinguish between the presence or absence of faith, according to a person’s selective views of creation and evolution, too. In the classes of schools, evolution is taught commonly as a basic theory of natural science learning. Creationism is based on the Bible and faith, and evolution is supported by Charles Darwin the writer of ‘The Origin of Species’. While many people dismiss creationism as myth and superstition, accept evolution as reasonable. But faith values the rationality of science too, while affirming creationism. Evolution, by contrast, puts forward science, but it do not offer the ultimate cause reasonably. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. That’s true, as well as it is our faith.

 

Certain Christians hesitate to answer clearly when being asked if they are sure of God’s creation. They are members of Christian church, and yet display a contradictory uncertainty from thought and speaking. At the National Assembly of Korea confirmation hearing of the nominee for Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning in July 2017, a questioner asked the candidate for his opinion on the theory of evolution, but which was criticized for his ambiguous answer. The Bible is not a science textbook, so it talks about creation, but it doesn’t give us the scientific details all. And the the theory of evolution has a problem that it only refers to the theories of gradual change, but it cannot reveal the fundamental underlying cause of life.

The idea of equating faith with superstition is foolish and unreasonable. Superstition refers to a blind attitude of wrong faith, but true faith signifies to a practical life accompanied by personality and experience. Therefore, the follower of superstition makes oneself bring to the decline of mind and body, yet a man of true faith experiences proceeding to sound advancement. Those who have not belief in Christ cannot confirm the reality of their faith through themselves, accordingly they do never understand how’s the faith Christian has. The faith in Christ goes way back to the event that God created heaven and earth. For God created the universe, and Christ is the participated in creation as God the Trinity.

The Bible’s record of creation is just a brief overview. For example, about the infinite space of the universe and countless stars, it were not recorded arithmetically one by one. And on the expression of the practical execution, there is not given full explanations related to the subjects. On how much time it took, whether the concept of a day is the same as the current time, and whether the words ‘as it is said’ it’s same as a person’s verbal meaning, these all are not specific too. This is because all the concepts of method, time, and shape are not written detail. It has calculated and inferred such things through human subjective interpretation, thus explanations that were some far from the rational might be inevitable.

Believers need to clearly accept the fact created by God, but need to be careful from excessive emphasizing parts that are not exactly explained. There are not a little sects which are pointed out as heresies of Christianity from that parts. They’re dangerous people, who insist as if they’re interpreting a problem that’s definitely not mentioned in the Bible as their own special inspiration. If it was a necessary matter for salvation, God would have given a definite mention in the Bible.

God is the Spirit that is full all over the universes, not constrained by time and space. The first states of the universe created were chaos, emptiness, and darkness, and the earth’s atmosphere was filled with water. At that time, God made light to distinguish between day and night, and He set a daily time of repeating day and night. On the second day, God made the sky in the middle of the atmosphere of water. And the next day God divided the land and the sea by bringing the water under the sky into one place and made the land reveal. Then He made vegetables and trees grow from the ground. These are the situation of creation from the first day to the third day as the expressed as time. Other than the simple expression that it was done by God’s speaking, we cannot find the direct details of creation in the Bible.

 

People say, how do you believe without knowing? It makes sense on that. But each understanding get different depending on what knowing means. Belief in the Son of God Jesus Christ is not by study and knowledge. That’s not saying that Christians are just believing blindly without knowing. They know and believe what it is. Because the Spirit of God gives enlightenment to their spirit, they believe it with knowing. God created heaven and earth. And Christ is the Savior as God the Creator.
